We all have mental health, so why not talk about it?

Do you need some extra motivation to continue putting one foot in front of the other as you prep for race day? The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) could be the extra push you need! They’re keen for team mates to join in spreading the word about mental health.

Mental wellbeing is one of the most valuable assets that we all have, and we need to look after it. Take a stand by wearing one of the MHF’s purple t-shirts, and get your friends and family talking about mental health.

The MHF is a charity that works to encourage people to have courageous conversations about mental health, supports environments at home, school or work where people can thrive, and advocates for improved services so that better help is available when times get tough. It’s also important to encourage Kiwis to consider the way they think about their own and others mental health.

Our work is free-of-charge, which is why we rely on your fundraising and donations to help!

By running or walking the Rotorua Marathon as part of the MHF team, you’re not only supporting the wellbeing of Kiwis in their workplaces, schools, and at home – you’re supporting your own personal wellbeing. By being physically active, you can improve your mood and wellbeing by decreasing stress, depression and anxiety.

And if that’s not enough motivation, here are some of the perks of joining the MHF team.

    • Join before Saturday March 31 and receive a free 'KEEP CUP'.
    • Fundraise $200 and receive a free MHF running t-shirt
    • Raise $500 and get free entry to any distance in the Rotorua Marathon! So - don't buy your ticket just yet.
